1970 was the year Elvis first started wearing jumpsuits onstage, made exclusively for him by designer Bill Belew.   The design was inspired by fashion from the Napoleonic era no less!  Big collars & lots of ornate trim.  Plus of course, the need for Elvis to wildy swing those hips completely unencumbered by annoying buttons & fly zips!
