Allow us to fan you down & peel you some grapes… better yet, bring in some fermented grapes & we’ll get your party started on the spot! We’ve also been known to dish out the champers to customers ourselves…

Costume Hire

To hire or buy?  You've got the best of both worlds at Fancy That!    When you hire from us, it's nothing like buying a packet costume online:  you're styled top to toe including all accessories & you're getting a significantly better quality costume for your dollar.  

Our hire range is curated online to inspire & simplify your selection process. If you come instore, you won’t be left to “roam the racks” dazed & confused as all costumes are neatly racked behind counter, with i-pads on counter for your convenience. Our crazy Costumiers know just the right questions to ask to help you select the perfect costume for your event & can have you in & out quickly or be as patient as saints, depending on your requirements.

 

We're able to do basic alterations to ensure your costume fits perfectly, plus have a “Hassle Free Hire” courier service which you can take advantage of for delivery, collection or both.

Finally, you can rest assured all costumes are cleaned & maintained to the highest standard. Our hire costumes are thoroughly washed on premises or dry-cleaned & our wigs are hand-washed & restyled, after EVERY use.

 

A note on Kids Hire:  Our hire range for kids consists of Australian colonial costumes only, as dress-up excursions are part of the school curriculum & are difficult to find online.

Costume & Accessories Sales

Looking for something you won’t find in the discount stores?  It's got to be Fancy to make it into the Fancy That! Costume range!  Quality product, always competitively priced.  Shop everything from novelty Hens Party supplies to the latest Superheroes, to gorgeous, Italian Swarovski crystal-encrusted masquerade.

 

If it’s on our website, it’s in stock & available to purchase (unless otherwise stated), either directly from our Crows Nest store (where you can try before you buy) or online with next day Express Post delivery Australia wide.  Time stressed & need it now?  Call us before 3pm & we can even same-day courier to the greater Sydney metro area.

Costume Sourcing Service

 

If we don’t have what you need, we won’t send you away empty handed – we’ll do our best to either source it for you ourselves, or direct you to another business who does. It’s all part of the service!

We have drop-ship relationships with wholesalers across Australia & can often deliver next day. Talk to us re discounts on bulk requests.

If it’s a custom make you’re after, we don’t currently have scope to do this onsite however we do have talented contacts overseas with fast turnarounds & are happy to quote on your brief.

Make-up & Special FX Service

With a Fancy That! costume, you’ve already got icing on your cake – think of make-up & special FX as the delicious cherry!

After several years dealing with freelance artists who aren’t always available when you need them, we now use & recommend the fabulous Dial-a-Style.

Dial-a-Style is a mobile hair & beauty service that will come to you wherever you are & anytime you want, with as little as 2 hours notice! We do recommend booking ahead during peak demand season such as Halloween.

Whether it’s basic glamour make-up to accompany your Hollywood Diva costume, some simple cuts & bruises, or a fully-fledged character creation – Dial-a-Style will find you the right artist for the job.

It’s a handy app based service – think of them as your “Uber” of custom costume make-up & special FX! It’s super easy too. Check out their website here – you simply download the app, book your service & experience the revolution. If you’re not app savvy, you can request a booking from their website, or call them on 1300 163 254 (business hours).

If you’ve hired a costume from us as well, don’t forget to enter your pics in our monthly Facebook photo comp – you’ll be looking super fab & have a great shot at topping the vote leader board for a full costume hire refund!

Fancy That! Fundraising

We love helping people party hard for a great cause! It’s super easy too:

  1. Send an invite to your guests telling them to come & see us at Fancy That! Costumes for a killer outfit
    1. We’ve included some sample copy below to make it easier for you
  2. Register your event with us
    1. email a copy of your invite to play@fancythatcostumes.com.au with the subject line  “Fancy That! Fundraising”
    2. include the date & theme of your event (hopefully that will be on the invite!)
    3. include your nominated charity & their bank deposit details
  3. We’ll donate 15% of all hires & sales to your nominated charity.  You’ll receive a full list of who spent, what they spent, plus proof of donation.

If you’re staging a public event, we can even help promote it to our growing database of Fancy That! dress up-fiends via email & Facebook.
